Sri Gowribhatla Lakshmana Murthy

Sir has been blessed with an opportunity to learn Carnatic Classical music from Sri Susarla Sivaram garu, Sri D. Seshachary garu and Sri Ch. Bhaskar garu. Fortunately, he has been trained in Light Music by Sri P.V. Sai Baba garu. Murthy garu has been awarded the following titles by Manjeera Kala Niketan - "Bala Gandharva" in 1975 and "Gana Gandharva" in 1977. In 1986, he was awarded a Gold Medal by the then governor Sri Kumudben Joshi Ji for winning 1st prize in Light Music competitions conducted by Andhra Vishwavidyalayam. After years of learning music from esteemed Music Gurus, and performing on stage, Lakshmana Murthy garu, along with his wife Smt Vasudha, started Sri Sai Sruthi Music Academy as a music teacher determined to pass on valuable knowledge and skills to our lucky students.

Vasudha garu is trained in Hindustani Classical music by her father Late Sri Ram Bhat Joshi garu, who was an eminent Hindustani Classical Musician. She was also trained under the guidance of Sri Shyam Dadpe garu. She taught music in various schools in the twin cities for 20 years. After starting the Academy in 2003, ma'am has put immense efforts to organize various classes and events in and around Hyderabad.
